Happy Chinese New Year

We attended our first FCC (Families w/Children from China) event here Saturday afternoon, and had a great time celebrating the Chinese New Year. There were probably 150 people there and seeing so many girls (and a few boys too) running around was really great. There were only one or two other girls younger than Jillian and so when the various performances were going on she had little competition for cutest noise from the audience. Example: Music skips and from out of the blue you hear a loud and clear "Uh-Oh!" Yep, that would be Jillian. Another example: Nice Chinese lady demonstrating a very slow traditional Chinese dance and there's Jillian dancing on the sidelines as though it's Boogie Nights. I counted at least ten camcorders filming the performances. Something tells me Jillian will be stealing the scene on that dance.

Enjoy the pictures and yes, for those that recognize the dress, it's the same one she wore back in April, on one of our last group activities in China. It still fit! I was so thrilled to see her in it one more time.

Oh and lots of new words and phrases this week. "I did that" is popular for just about anything she does no matter how big or small and my favorite....drumroll please..."Mommie, I toot." Yes, thank you. My daughter tells you when she passes gas just in case you didn't quite hear it reverberate off her diaper. Heavy sigh.
