Hard to believe it's been a month since Christmas and 6 weeks since the move. Jillian and I are doing great. She is really enjoying her new daycare and I'm proud as punch to report that the most recent speech therapy evaluation showed that she has almost caught up with her peer group. They did not feel she would need any therapy sessions. Wow. Based on where she was in Oct and where she is now they think she will be up to par in a month or so. AND I'm inclined to believe them. She adds new words everyday and just last night said "daddy funny." Which he is. She had never said that before. And although she has been saying "thank you" for quite a while, she is now also saying "welcome" and is probably about 80% accurate as to when to use them properly. And that's just the tip of the iceburg. She also started using the potty last monday. Just out of the blue. Said potty and off she went to go find the potty seat. Up to that moment she refused to even try using the potty at home. I thought it was going to be months. But 0 to 60. That's our girl.

Here are some pictures from January. I didn't realize until I looked through them all at once that she is generally in pink or lavender. Just a coincidence. She does have other colors in her wardrobe. ; )

I'm particularly proud of the puzzle picture as we had dumped all the pieces in a pile and then she put them together all by herself. 7 puzzles! She even knew where to put the pieces that had been lovingly chewed on by Halle. Horse with no head, turtle with no shell etc... Although we never found the chicken. To which Jillian proclaimed, HAyee! (HALLE)! Smart girl.

Hi Anne,
It's just amazing and a little scary at how fast our girls are growing. Jillian is just adorable. Ava also really enjoys puzzles these days. I sent you a holiday card to what I thought was your new address but it was returned so I'll have email you privately to confirm your address. Wishing you guys a Happy Chinese New Year! We're going out to our local FCC event- should be fun to see all the kids dressed up. We are both very blessed to be moms to such incredible little girls!
Love, Michele
