Thought I'd grab what time I can to post a quick update. Jillian is doing really well! She's so much fun and just so happy all the time. Her giggle is infectious and whoever says a toddler doesn't get sarcasm is seriously wrong. She generally only says Mama when she's hungry, mad or being dramatic. It kind of comes out like "MaaaaMaaaaa!" The other day I decided to say "Jilliaaaaannnn!" She said MaaaMaaa again and then I repeated "Jilliaaaannn." You get where I'm going. She loved it and now she says "MaaaaMaaaa" with a huge smile on her face or pursed lips and a twinkle in her eye. Cracks me up everytime.
She has also learned how to kiss when asked for one and knows how to blow kisses as well. She hasn't learned hello but definitly knows how to wave goodbye. She is obsessed with sitting on things. Whether chairs, shoes, toys etc.. she tries to sit on it. And she will actually come grab your hand and bring you over to sit down with her. Once you are sitting she belts out this huge laugh and then gets up to go do something else, leaving you there.
Sleeping has been a challenge but it's getting better. She is generally waking 3 times a night, which is much easier than the previous 6-7. I think I'm averaging about 5-6 hours although not consecutive. Kind of piecemealing it together. She decided last week that she liked her crib and that made a huge difference I'm sure.
I started her at daycare yesterday. We went for 2 hours both yesterday and today. She seems to be enjoying it although she is definitly jealous if other kids come up to me. Seems she wants me all to herself. (I secretly love it too) I'm thinking I should be able to get back into the office fulltime next week. Her daycare is only 1.5 miles and a straight shot from my office so I'll be able to visit or join her for lunch quite easily. And although I didn't think I'd want to get back into the office just yet, I do. I miss it a lot, and while I've enjoyed being with her fulltime I think she will learn more and get more stimulus at daycare. Keeping a toddler occupied is a real challenge.

Finally, some more photos! -- I've been checking your blog every day :) Jillian is precious! I'm out of town this week-end, but I sure would like to come see her (and you :) sometime soon... But of course I will call and see what your schedule is and how you're handling visitors -- I certainly didn't want to bother you too soon upon return!

YAY new photos!! I'm glad you all are getting along so well and that she seems to be adjusting so quickly. I'd also love to stop by and visit, but no pressure. Get into your schedule and junk and we'll work it out soon. :-)
