Thanks to my wonderful travel mates, that brought way more than I did, for allowing me access to their computer so I can post. We had connection issues in Beijing so this is my first opportunity to touchbase.
We are now in Chongqing City and it was quite an entrance last night. This is the largest city in China. There are 6 million people in the city center alone. It was like driving into a futuristic city with neon bordered high rises as far as the eye can see. And Beijing was rediculous. They are in overdrive getting ready for the 2008 olympics and once again there are high rises everywhere. Seriously, everywhere. It says a lot when you can surprise a big group of Americans with development. And it was great to be able to see some of the arenas and event centers under construction.
I need to head out soon so here is the rest of what we have already seen in brief...
Went to The Forbidden City, several markets, Tiananmen Square, Great Wall, and lots of other small trips here and there. Today is the big day and within about 5 hours I will be meeting Jillian.
I'll be in touch with more details as soon as I'm able. Just know that I am staying in one of the nicest hotels I've ever seen and am loving it. Only the finest for Jillian. I'm in great shape and looking forward to the chaos of this afternoon.

I am doing well with the "girls" and Rose allowed me to brush her today. She is loud and happy and
I get an occasional cry (shrill whine) from her and knows that she is missin' you. Luray is her usual
self-contained old grand dame and
